Wal-Mart isn’t a campground, but you might think otherwise some evenings when the corner of a store’s parking is occupied by a few dozen RVers "camped" for the night. Most Wal-Mart stores permit a free overnight stay in a self-contained RV, and that’s where this great directory comes in handy. The 2011 Wal-Mart Atlas provides driving directions to more than 4,100 Wal-Mart stores, Supercenters and Sam's Club stores in the 49 states. Plus, all Wal-Marts with their own gas stations that sell diesel fuel (save money) are indicated, along with pharmacies, auto service centers and GPS coordinates. Most RVers stay at a Wal-Mart when they need a place to get a night’s rest and a campground isn’t handy. They don’t mind the price tag either: free. Others plan their travels to include an overnight stop at a Wal-Mart. Saving the $20 or $30 (or more!) they would pay at a campground can help offset high fuel prices. The Wal-Mart Atlas includes state maps showing store locations. From there, RVers can pinpont specific stores with information about which exit to take, and where to go after that.
